Nanomaterials for 3D Printing ONLINE Workshop – 13 October 2020
Date: 13 October 2020
Venue: ZOOM Online Platform
This workshop has been rescheduled to the 13 October 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting will be online, using ZOOM online platform.
Following the successful event organised by our sister company Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd in Cambridge, we are planning to organise the second Nanomaterials for 3D Printing 2019 Workshop. This event aims to support commercialisation of use of nanomaterials in development of polymer and metal based composite technologies for additive manufacturing and supporting activities including characterisation and modelling.
CNT Innovation is organising a Nanomaterials for 3D Printing workshop (nanoMAT3D) in order to support commercialisation of use of nanomaterials in development of polymer and metal based composite technologies for additive manufacturing.
The Nanomaterials for 3D Printing Workshop is an opportunity to learn about progress in development of nanomaterials, new additive manufacturing technologies and progress in use of nanomaterials in additive manufacturing applications. It is also a platform to bring together technology development leaders and industrial end-users in order to exchange experience between technology developers in industry and researchers in academia working on nanomaterials and additive manufacturing and development of related characterisation and modelling techniques.
Delegates and speakers who have confirmed their participation to this workshop are coming from: Rolls Royce, Whirlpool Corporation, ArcelorMittal, LEITAT, ACCIONA, European Synchrotron (ESRF), Lucideon, Mesa Consult, AM 4 AM, IPC – Innovation Plasturgie Composites, EMPA and Hummink. Some participants who have expressed interest in attending are coming from: Richemont International SA, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, AIMEN, Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology, CIC nanoGUNE, Phillips Carbon Black among others.
The confirmed speakers and talks are as follows:
• Dr Claude Becker, Mesa-Consult, Luxembourg – “Superhydrophobic surfaces achieved by soft atmospheric plasma polymerization: towards tunable wettability”
• Dr. Ennio CAPRIA, Deputy Head of Business Development, European Synchrotron (ESRF) France – “How the use of synchrotron characterisation can help addressing the grand challenges of Metals Additive Manufacturing”
• Dr Maxime Delmée, AM 4 AM, Luxembourg – “High Mechanical Strength Aluminium for Additive Manufacturing”
• Dr Amin M’BARKI, CEO and Co-Founder, Hummink, France – “Hummink – Additive manufacturing at the nanoscale”
• Luis Clemente, COO 3D Printing, Construction, ACCIONA, UEA – “Concrete Large-Scale 3D Printing. A New Era in Construction and Architecture”.
There will be a panel discussion at the end of the workshop.
